Process Engineer

Overview

Nuclear Projects and Consulting is seeking an experienced chemical engineer resource to fill a Process Engineering opening in Oak Ridge, TN. The Process Engineer will be part of a team of engineers in the design phase of projects. Additionally, you will perform and formally document Process Engineering calculations.

• Be part of a team of engineers in the design phase of projects.
• Perform and formally document Process Engineering calculations.
• Develop and specify Process Equipment as part of project engineering activities.

• 7 or more years of experience
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Degree in Engineering from ABET-accredited college or university
• Licensed Professional Chemical Engineer with ability to obtain licensure in TN
• Process Equipment specifications
• Experience in Project Engineering and Nuclear Engineering

• Nuclear material processing
• Q clearance or eligibility to obtain a “Q”
• Uranium processing experience
• Prefer someone already residing near the Oak Ridge, TN area
• Experience managing the work of other engineers and/or designers
• MS in Engineering from ABET-accredited college or university

• Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet.
• Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized.
• Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same.
• Occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity.
