Akima Infrastructure Services, LLC (AIS) is actively seeking Engineering, Professional, Technical, and administrative support personnel as part of our staff augmentation team supporting the Department of Energy at the Y-12 National Security Complex located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and the Pantex Plant located in Amarillo, Texas. Qualified applicants must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years of age, and able to meet pre‑employment requirements such as physicals, drug screening, and background investigation to satisfy clearance requirements from the Department of Energy.

• Expected work schedule: M‑Th 40 hrs/week with potential for occasional overtime.
• Support new machining center installations and existing machining production operations through configuration management activities, paperwork, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
• Must have machining background experience.
• Perform troubleshooting and improvement activities.
• Apply systems and equipment expertise to resolve technical system and equipment issues in cooperation with other disciplines.
• Experience in an NRC or DOE regulated environment is desirable. Requires an understanding of Conduct of Engineering, Conduct of Operations, and Conduct of Maintenance for facilities operating within a nuclear regulated environment.
• Requires strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with various clients, production and support organizations, management, and hourly wage employees.
• Must be willing to work in a production environment.
• Experience in Integrated Safety Management is a plus.

• Requires an ABET accredited BS degree in an Engineering discipline plus 15 or more years of relevant professional experience, or a MS degree in a relevant Engineering discipline with 12 or more years of relevant experience.
• Additional experience is preferred.
• Q clearance required.
• Candidates with systems and equipment experience in mechanical and electrical systems preferred.
• Pre‑employment drug screen – external applicants selected for this position are required to successfully complete a post‑offer, pre‑employment drug test.
• Medical examination(s) – job‑related pre‑placement medical examinations may be কৰক required for this position.
