Description
Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Associate/Principal Engineer, Hydrogeologist, or Scientist in a related field to join our successful team of remediation professionals in our Environmental Services Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects and pursuits in the Sediments market, guiding a dedicated team of professionals towards profitable growth within the remediation sector, and executing existing projects. This individual will serve as the sediment practice lead for the Remediation group, providing leadership on sediment remediation projects and design expertise to navigate site investigation, remedy evaluation and selection, design, construction, and restoration. The role also involves leading national business development efforts to expand Burns & McDonnell’s sediment portfolio and managing key pursuit efforts.
Responsibilities- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Hydrogeology, or a related field from an accredited program, with 7+ years of consulting experience (15+ preferred).
- Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience.
- Proven leadership in practice/business unit growth within the remediation market.
- Expertise in sediment fate and transport, sediment remediation techniques (dredging, capping, etc.), and regulatory frameworks (CERCLA, RCRA, permits).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
