Nuclear Safety Engineer III Responsibilities
- Using discretion and independent judgment.
- Nuclear Safety Engineers are responsible for creation of Safety Bases Documents, which comply with 10 CFR 830, DOE Standards, and PRC procedures.
- Develop and maintain nuclear safety documents including DSAs, TSRs, Hazard Analysis and Control Decision Documents. Interface with management and operations to resolve nuclear and criticality safety issues.
- Daily to weekly written and verbal communication with operations, engineering staff, UCOR management, and DOE staff.
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of which at least four must directly relate to the required area of expertise.
- Experience supporting the development, maintenance, or implementation of safety basis documentation is required.
