Position: Behavior Support Specialist (grades 4-8)

Location: Oakridge Lower Elementary and Oakridge Middle School

Temporary un-affiliated position, grant-funded by one-time funds.

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in education.
• Possess a valid teaching certificate in the State of Michigan.

• Work with small groups focusing on social/emotional skills using a defined curriculum.
• Meet with at-risk students to build relationships and keep summer learning on track.
• Collaborate with staff in planning educational summer interventions and behavioral management plans as needed.

MS/One day per week; 9:00 am-11 am (Includes 30 minutes of planning time)

OUE/One day per week: 8:30 am-11:30 am (Includes 30 minutes of planning time)

* Sessions run June 15-July 17, 2026.

Middle School and Elementary students will not be in attendance the week of June 29 - July 3.

Behavior Support Specialist will work 2 days per week of summer learning.

One day (6 hours) of paid planning time will be provided prior to the start of summer school.

Deadline for Applying: March 13, 2026

Pay Rate: $33.00/hour prior to July 1, 2026 and $34.07/hour as of July 1, 2026
