Pay Rate: $17 - $19 per hour

This position shift timeframe is 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

Responsible for the daily cleaning and upkeep of the areas assigned to them including daily cleaning of area, pulling and disposing of trash, mopping and dust mopping of floors as specified.

High school diploma or GED or "1" years comparable experience

The ability to provide cleaning and housekeeping services to designated Hospital areas.

The ability to understand and communicate in written and spoken English.

• Demonstrates the WMH Customer Service Values, which are key in providing quality service to patients and customers.
• Dust furniture, woodwork, equipment and dust mops floors. Polishes and cleans fixtures in utility rooms and bathrooms.
• Wet mopped rooms, halls, stairways and public areas.
• Clears vents, fans and other equipment using vacuum machines.
• Clears fixtures, tops or windows, door frames and high areas using a ladder as required.
• Gathers and disposes of trash and waste materials including medical waste.
• Moves furniture and other heavy objects as required.
• Removes waste and soiled linens from work area and places in specified bags or containers.
• Performs terminal cleaning procedures of patient rooms and prepares room for new occupant; follows isolation procedures in isolation rooms.
• Cleans and disinfects all fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows, doors, and walls of bathroom.
• Remains professional and tactful while responding to environmental “on demand” needs.
• Assists Patients/Visitor/Staff as needed.
• Assists in the enforcement of hospital/departmental policies and procedures.
• Floor Care/Floor Maintenance:
  Dust mop, strip floors, clean base boards, wax floors, Burnish floors.
• Use floor care Equipment:
  Burnisher, Walk behind, Ride on Scrubber, Floor buffer, Wet Vacuum, Vacuum, etc.
• Relief – Assist the department in absence of staff, by helping cover open work schedules.
