PRIMARY JOB SUMMARYAssumes responsibility for all radiographic imaging and technical consideration involved in the performance of complex interventional cardiovascular procedures. Also responsible for daily scheduling of patient caseload, patient transportation and participating in all schedules.
PRIMARY JOB QUALIFICATIONS- Graduate of accredited program of radiology technology and current State of Illinois license
- Current license with Illinois Department IEMA division of Nuclear Safety
- ARRT licensure
- Current BLS
- Two years of Cath lab experience preferred
- Demonstrates the Resilience Healthcare Customer Service Values, which are key in providing quality service to patients and customers
- Independently implements plan of care utilizing professional technical skills and collaborates with and instructs patients, members of families/significant other and care team. Demonstrates ability to function in emergency situations.
- Employs radiation protection devices and techniques as required for patient and staff safety. Performs and maintains required records of quality control checks for radiological equipment. Maintains film badge records.
- Uses his or her technical skills to formulate appropriate question for measuring outcomes. Evaluates responses to therapeutic intervention. Make judgements based on data collected.
- Supports department of nursing and hospital policy and procedures.
- Performs scrub and monitoring duties.
- Complies with Cardiac Cath Lab department policy and procedures. Complies with the standards and guidelines established by JCAHO.
- Maintains environment and equipment in an appropriate manner. Supports Cardiac Cath team. Resolves problems, support customer service.
- May be responsible for maintaining proper operation of equipment in lab.
- Demonstrates responsibility for own professional practice and growth by ensuring clinical knowledge base and skills are maintained and enhanced. Supports and maintains current knowledge of organizational and unit policies and procedures.
