The Role
Join our dynamic school district team as an Administrative Assistant in our district, servicing our schools. In this crucial role, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of school-wide functions, in alignment with our district's equity commitments as expressed in the Board Policy 7:12:

Your responsibilities will include providing a wide variety of complex and confidential administrative assistance support to an assigned school; conveying information regarding the functions and procedures; and ensuring efficient operations and systems of support, in a customer-centered, policy-guided manner. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent interpersonal and multitasking skills. EssentialDuties And Responsibilities
- Greet, screen and direct all visitors to the school.
- Answer the school phone and direct calls.
- Compile daily student attendance and contact parents of absent students.
- Complete the end of the month student attendance report.
- Record employee absence and verify coverage.
- Maintain copier machines, change cartridges when needed and arrange for repairs.
- Distribute mail on a daily basis.
- Collect and deposit field trip funds.
- Complete deposits of monies collected in the office.
- Online purchases and orders.
- Prepare and organize bulk mailings.
- Order, organize and maintain office and teacher supplies.
- Other duties may be assigned by Administration.
- Self-starter
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, forms, and sheets)
- Detail-oriented and able to find one's own mistakes. Cares about quality of work
- Strict observance of deadlines and willingness to give whatever effort is required to meet a deadline
- Ability to plan personal workload, keeping multiple deadlines in mind
- Manages time, able to prioritize tasks and works efficiently.

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience preferred
