Store Manager, Fresh Stores

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Store Manager who can bring Amazon’s customer obsession to life in a grocery retail environment. You will be accountable for the end‑to‑end operations and overall performance for your store, leading a team of Assistant Managers and engaged grocery associates to deliver a memorable experience for customers.

You will monitor, analyze, and respond to business metrics that include sales, labor, customer satisfaction, productivity, and safety. Your role is vital to maintaining a vibrant team culture based on customer obsession, trust, respect, continuous learning, safety, and fun. You will execute scalable processes, sound business operations, and influence the evolution of a fast‑growing grocery business.

• Manage a team of assistant managers: set goals, relay expectations, manage performance, provide feedback, and support career development.
• Delegate and influence to drive exceptional results, executing standard operating procedures and implementing solutions.
• Analyze data and guide the team to adjust as needed, using business metrics to measure and drive performance.
• Communicate results in regular business reviews.
• Create and maintain a culture of engagement by listening to feedback from leaders, associates, and customers, and implementing solutions.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment to protect employees, customers, and products.
• Work in a physical environment, lifting up to 49 pounds and being on your feet during shifts.
• Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• At least 18 years of age.
• 4+ years of people management experience.
• 4+ years of leadership experience in a customer‑facing retail, hospitality, or grocery environment, or 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or 8+ years of customer‑facing retail, hospitality, or grocery industry experience.

• 8+ years of customer‑facing grocery industry experience.
• Current Assistant Manager within Amazon Fresh Stores business line.
• 1+ year directing store operations as a Store Leader or equivalent.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working independently in an ambiguous environment with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and implement effective solutions.
• Demonstrated success in problem solving and delivering results.
• Demonstrated ability to attract, hire, and develop high‑performing teams.
• Passion for Amazon and commitment to delighting customers.
