** Job Summary*
* As the  
** Sous Chef** , you will support the daily culinary operations within a healthcare food service department. This role assists with supervising food production, preparing and cooking menu items, and ensuring high‑quality presentation for both patient and retail services. You will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to develop menus, support ordering and inventory processes, and uphold safety and sanitation standards.

This position is ideal for a hands‑on, motivated culinary professional committed to excellence in a healthcare environment.

** Key Responsibilities*
* + Support the Executive Chef in managing food cost controls and monitoring expenditures.

+ Assist in planning, developing, and executing patient, retail, and catering menus.

+ Produce and execute catering functions aligned with facility needs and standards.

+ Implement new culinary programs in partnership with the company's culinary and marketing teams.

+ Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, regulatory compliance, and healthcare dietary requirements.

** Preferred Qualifications*
* + A.S. degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional experience.

+ Progressive kitchen or culinary management experience; healthcare or institutional cooking preferred.

+ Catering experience is a plus.

+ Experience in high‑volume, fast‑paced food service operations highly desirable.

+ Strong knowledge of culinary trends, quality production, sanitation practices, cost management, and food presentation.

+ Proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet applications.

+ Willingness to participate in patient and client satisfaction initiatives.

+ Serv Safe certification highly preferred.
