This is a 13‑week travel nursing position in a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet‑designated hospital in Oak Lawn, IL, supporting CVOR, pediatric, neuro, ortho and more.

• Minimum 2–3 years recent acute care Operating Room RN experience; CVOR and pediatric open‑heart experience required.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Illinois or compact RN accepted.
• BLS certification (AHA).
• Proven ability to scrub and circulate pediatric open‑heart cases.
• Critical care experience and Level I trauma center experience preferred.
• Epic EMR proficiency required.
• Strong perioperative nursing skills: sterile technique, instrument familiarity, surgical instrumentation for CVOR/trauma/pediatrics.

• Deliver safe, high‑quality perioperative nursing care across a broad surgical case mix including CVOR, pediatric, trauma, transplant, robotics, neuro, ortho, vascular, and general surgery.
• Scrub and/or circulate for assigned procedures while maintaining sterile technique and supporting surgical workflow as an OR scrub nurse and circulator.
• Prepare operating rooms, verify equipment and supplies, and ensure accurate documentation in Epic.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative leadership to support efficient case turnover and patient safety.
• Respond to urgent and emergent surgical needs including trauma and time‑sensitive cases.
• Support pediatric surgical cases (approximately 20% pediatric volume) and pediatric open‑heart procedures.
• Participate in Gifts of Hope donor cases as needed.
