Ophthalmic Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our Ophthalmology Office located in Oak Lawn, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience in ophthalmic procedures and patient care, supporting ophthalmologists in delivering high-quality eye care services.

• Assist ophthalmologists with patient examinations and diagnostic testing.
• Perform various ophthalmic tests including visual acuity, visual fields, and tonometry.
• Prepare patients for exams and explain procedures as needed.
• Maintain and calibrate ophthalmic equipment to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Record and document patient information and test results accurately.
• Support clinical staff in managing patient flow and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with office policies and healthcare regulations.

• Previous experience as an Ophthalmic Technician or in a similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of ophthalmic instruments and diagnostic procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Certification from a recognized ophthalmic technician program is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional medical training is beneficial.
