Marathon TS is seeking an Avaya Voice Engineer to provide Base Telecom Support at the Puget Sound, WA. The person for this effort will provide telecommunications operations and maintenance (O&M). This includes secure and reliable, classified, and unclassified, voice and data services in support of Command, Control, Computer, Communications and Information (C4I) operations and exercises.

• Operate and maintain government-owned telephony switches (PBX), including Avaya Systems CM4.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair of switch issues.
• Software updates and patch management.
• Installation and configuration of switch hardware.
• Daily operation monitoring.
• Support for voicemail systems and IPE (Remote Intelligent Peripheral Equipment).
• Utilize company vehicle to travel to remote locations weekly.
• Ensure switch systems remain fully operational and compliant with DoD/Navy standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Associate's degree or higher in IT or Cybersecurity (preferred).
• 2 years of experience required; 5 years preferred.
• Prior experience within DoD network.
• Required skills or certifications:
  • Nortel Meridian System Administration or equivalent.
  • IAT Level II (per DoD 8570.01-M) (received within 90 days of starting).
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent.
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or equivalent.
  • Avaya Certified Support Specialist (ACSS) or equivalent.
