Your Experience Matters
How You'll ContributeThe Director of Therapy is responsible for the direction and oversight of Therapy Services, coordinating operations, ensuring performance improvement, competency, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities- Manages the Therapy Services Department staff and empowers them.
- Observes program effectiveness and recommends changes to leadership.
- Develops direct reports to excel in supervision and support.
- Collaborates with medical staff and hospital leadership to develop clinical programs such as Brain Injury, Stroke, Amputee, with a focus on CARF certification.
- Evaluates department performance versus budgets and benchmarks, taking appropriate action to maintain financial health.
- Serves as a member of the Administrative Team and hospital committees.
- Works with Chief Nursing Officer, nurse managers, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech and Language Pathologist.
- Minimum of three years of therapy management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, evaluate, and direct clinical personnel activities.
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English; additional languages preferred.
- CPR certified.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills.
- Proficiency in rehabilitation skills in discipline-specific area of PT, OT, or ST.
