Provide portfolio support to the Business Relationship Managers by assisting in the gathering of critical information, monitoring loan/relationship performance, underwriting and documenting business loans assigned by VP Market Manager. The Business Portfolio Manager partners closely with assigned market's Business Relationship Managers to execute on the commercial loan origination strategy by working directly with prospects, members and centers of influence (COI's) to develop optimal financing structures to address borrowing needs.
Responsible for the management of an assigned lending portfolio, including evaluation of ongoing credit risk, capacity to repay, adequacy of collateral, and loan conditions and covenants. Responsible for handling portfolio member inquiries, resolving issues with business deposit and loan accounts, delivering exceptional member service, and ensuring that all processes, procedures, letters, and documentation within areas of responsibility are contributing to a positive member experience.

- Member experience and profitability are strengthened through the implementation and promotion of Business Services initiatives and the fostering of a service to sales culture.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
- Three or more years of experience in business services/banking as credit analyst, portfolio manager, or relationship manager; or combination of applicable work experience and education.
- Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills essential for interacting with credit union staff and
- Well-developed mathematical skills.
- Ability to work accurately with figures and perform detailed work with an extremely high degree of precision.
- Knowledge of business loan processing and servicing.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations that govern member business lending.
- Ability to interpret and follow written policies.
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task, while maintaining professionalism and courtesy.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and intermediate knowledge of Excel.
