Finance Manager

The Finance Manager is responsible for managing Zund America’s day‑to‑day finance and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across core financial processes. This is a hands‑on management role overseeing AP, AR, GL, cash management, financial reporting, and inventory/fixed asset accounting. The Finance Manager works closely with the Director Business Services, cross‑functional teams, and HQ in Switzerland (ZST), while supervising the accounting team and ensuring reliable financial execution.

This role collaborates directly with Zund America’s external CPA firm, ensures tax compliance (including sales & use tax through Avalara), supports transfer pricing processes, and manages the accounting for Zund Real Estate LLC (ZAR).

• Oversee all daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, cash reconciliation, and journal entries.
• Supervise and support the Staff Accountant, AP Specialist, and AR Specialist.
• Coordinate and execute monthly and annual close processes in accordance with Zund Group policies.
• Maintain fixed asset accounting, inventory movements, depreciation schedules, and capital asset tracking.
• Oversee accounting support for Canadian operations, including reconciliation and payment of Canadian invoices and reconciliation of Canadian bank accounts.
• Ensure accurate financial data in Infoniqa and alignment with Salesforce CRM and B7 ERP.
• Support revenue and cost recognition processes across machines, service, parts, and contracts.
• Collaborate closely with the external CPA firm for federal, state, and local tax filings, annual returns, and year‑end closing.
• Manage sales and use tax compliance using Avalara, ensuring timely filings, system accuracy, and correct customer tax setups.
• Coordinate transfer pricing documentation in collaboration with the external CPA firm and ZST.
• Reconciliation and filing of Canadian taxes in collaboration with the external CPA firm and internal accounting team.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and standard management reports.
• Maintain internal controls, documentation, audit readiness, and adherence to Zund Group Finance Standards.
• Serve as Concur Administrator and main point of contact with Concur and with Gant.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent preferred).
• 5-7+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience; management experience preferred.
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP, general accounting, month‑end close, and tax fundamentals.
• Experience with accounting and ERP systems (Salesforce and Avalara beneficial).
• Experience working with external CPA firms and supporting audits or tax filings.
• Background in manufacturing, distribution, or international organizations is a plus.
• High level of ownership, accountability, and integrity.
