We are seeking an Environmental Test Technician to utilize production test equipment to perform testing on aircraft instruments, displays, and computers. Environmental tests include Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS), thermal and vibration testing.

This on-site position is located at our Headquarters in Oak Creek, WI, and is a first-shift position (7:00am-3:30pm). On occasion, this role may be required to provide coverage on second shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) and third shift (11:00pm - 7:30am). You will report directly to the Supervisor of Manufacturing.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform environmental (thermal) testing on aircraft instruments, displays, and computers.
  • Perform vibration tests.
  • Set up and tear down fixtures per specification.
  • Enter test results into our Failure Report System.
  • Communicate with technicians during daily shift change meetings.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum two years of experience working in an environmental or product testing function.
  • Ability to troubleshoot test equipment.
  • Ability to comprehend electronic and mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to use a computer for data entry.
  • Must be detail-oriented and have good time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently on assignments.
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull vibration fixtures short distances weighing up to 50 pounds.
Desired Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in an electronics, electrical, or mechanical program from an accredited institution.
  • Two years of experience in electronics and testing operations.
  • Experience with environmental chambers and vibration tables.
  • Ability to work with different software programs: MS Office, DOS, LabVIEW, etc.
