TheOpportunity
We’re looking for an Account Manager who’s ready to take real ownership of a book of business. This isn’t a reactive customer service role — you’ll be a trusted logistics partner to your shippers, growing revenue through consultative selling, flawless execution, and genuine relationships built on results.
What You’ll Do- Manage and grow a portfolio of shipper accounts across multiple industries and freight modes
- Develop a deep understanding of each customer’s supply chain needs and proactively create solutions
- Drive revenue growth through increased freight volume, new lanes, and expanded service offerings
- Serve as the primary point of contact for your accounts — from quoting to delivery to problem resolution
- Work closely with carrier sales to ensure capacity is available and service is never compromised
- Analyze account performance data and present strategic recommendations to retain and grow business
- Negotiate rates with existing customers and participate in RFP processes for new opportunities
- 3+ years of experience in freight brokerage, 3PL account management, or logistics sales
- Proven track record of growing accounts and retaining business — with numbers to back it up
- Deep understanding of full truckload, LTL, and intermodal logistics
- A hunter mentality paired with a service mindset — you win business and then you keep it
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills — your customers should consider you a partner, not a vendor
- Proficiency in TMS platforms and CRM tools; ability to manage data and generate reporting
- Driven, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast‑moving environment
