Emery Jensen is a business unit of Ace Hardware Corporation and a leading distributor of hard-line products to independent Pro/Lumber, Paint, Hardware, and E‑retailer customers across the U.S.We are currently seeking an Ecomm Business Development Manager to drive new, high-value Ecommerce customer acquisition for Emery Jensen. This role is focused on proactive prospecting, pipeline development, closing, and onboarding new Ecommerce partners while serving as a strategic ambassador for our growing eComm business.

This is a highly visible role that partners closely with cross-functional teams and our eComm Account Managers to ensure a seamless transition from acquisition to long-term account success. The ideal candidate operates with a high degree of autonomy, strategic thinking, and accountability for results.
** What you’ll do
*** Build and close a robust pipeline of new high-value Ecommerce customers through proactive inbound and outbound prospecting
* Identify and target high lifetime value prospects by understanding Emery Jensen’s financial model and ROI drivers
* Serve as the primary point of contact for Ecommerce prospects, responding promptly and professionally throughout the sales cycle
* Develop and execute pre- and post-call plans, including needs analysis, value proposition delivery, solution design, lifetime value, and ROI documentation in CRM
* Maintain a weekly prospect pipeline with clear, measurable conversion metrics and results
* Act as a subject matter expert on Ecommerce ordering and integration options, including EDI and Quick Order Entry, and support customer onboarding through demos and setup guidance
* Partner closely with eComm Account Managers to transition newly acquired customers smoothly and effectively
* Build strong cross-functional relationships with Sales, Credit, Legal, Merchandising, Sales Operations, and Customer Service to support customer success and business objectives
* Represent Emery Jensen at industry trade shows and events with a defined “show plan” to drive business development and relationship growth
** What you need to succeed
*** Minimum 5 years of experience in new business development, territory management, or a similar B2B sales role
* Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and closing new business
* Strong comfort with cold calling, prospecting, and pipeline development, with demonstrated success
* Strategic, results-oriented mindset focused on customer needs and long-term profitability
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and listening skills
* Ability to manage multiple opportunities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce (or similar CRM tools)
* Experience in the hardlines industry preferred
* BA/BS degree or equivalent experience preferred
** Compensation Details:**$80000-$120000
