Base pay: $22.00/hr – $25.00/hr, plus hourly team‑pooled commission.

The Retail Assistant Store Manager works with the Retail Store Manager to lead the sales team. Responsibilities include forging customer connections, communicating brand values, and ensuring the highest level of customer experience.

Create an unforgettable customer experience

• Work with the sales team to ensure each customer receives the best experience possible.
• Take ownership of the sales floor and team to prioritize customer experience.
• Prepare fitting rooms, find sizes, and provide honest, knowledgeable feedback on merchandise style and fit.
• Forge lasting relationships with customers by engaging on product details, new releases, and upcoming events.
• Stay knowledgeable about new and top‑selling items and share insights with customers and the team.

Be the business

• Lead day‑to‑day store operations in the manager’s absence.
• Motivate the sales team and achieve sales goals in a commission‑based environment.
• Seek new product knowledge in fashion and active‑wear to serve as a customer expert.
• Lead the team in project completion while maintaining focus on customer experience.
• Communicate inventory needs to support business goals.

Leadership/Ownership

• Assist the Store Inventory Lead in processing all product shipments and inventory management.
• Work with the Retail Store Manager on daily maintenance, sales strategy, community, and team management.
• Lead the team in daily store maintenance, restocking, visual merchandising, and cleaning.
• Utilize responsibility, protocol, and safety standards in daily store opening/closing.
• Encourage employees to give 100%, adhere to punctuality, and fulfill role responsibilities at all times.

Operations

• Complete weekly manual restock and send report to inventory management.
• Complete weekly cycle counts.
• Assist in processing weekly shipments.
• Ensure all store supplies are stocked and communicate needs monthly.
• Process all online returns and defective products, shipping to the warehouse.
• Handle daily restock and destock.
• Assist in keeping the backroom clean and bins organized.
• Manage the Aloha displays; refreshed and restocked weekly.
• Manage the mannequin refresh and check one‑offs.
• Maintain all merchandising standards on the floor.

• Available for morning and/or evening, 8‑hour shifts, 5 days/week, including at least one weekend day.
• Must be a punctual and attendance leader, adhering to scheduled shifts.
• Ability to develop relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Expert customer service, creating experiences and building relationships, embracing the social aspect of sales and proactively handling concerns.
• Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Quickly learn new procedures and processes.
