This role is open to remote candidates in the following states: AL, AZ, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, MI, MN, MO, NC, NE, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WV. Relocation is not provided.
Employees within a 90‑minute radius of our Oak Brook, IL headquarters are required to adhere to the company in‑office work guidelines of 4 days per month minimum from 10 AM to 2 PM (1 of the 4 days must be a Monday or Friday). This requirement does not apply to support specialist positions.

Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesThis role is responsible for collaborating with an experienced team of engineers, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to create meaningful reports and dashboards used to inform business decisions.
As a Sr. Analytics Engineer, you’ll take ownership of key data models and reporting infrastructure, bridging the gap between data engineering and business analytics. You’ll play a critical role in enabling data‑driven decision‑making by ensuring our analytical layer is robust, performant, and well‑documented. Additionally, we value individuals who are team players, possess a keen eye for detail, and prioritize outcomes over outputs.
- Own and evolve Looker Explores, dashboards, and semantic layers.
- Assist in documenting data models, business definitions, and data lineage.
- Provide updates to data dictionaries and catalogs.
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into trusted, self‑serve analytics tools.
- Lead efforts to improve data quality, consistency, and documentation across business domains.
- Participate in governance and standardization of metrics, definitions, and dimensions.
- Proficient in SQL and comfortable working with large datasets.
- Expertise in data visualization and BI tools (preferably Looker) and an understanding of semantic modeling.
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (ideally GCP and Big Query).
- Strong analytical and communication skills with a track record of stakeholder collaboration.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast‑paced data environment.
- Experience with scripting in Python or JavaScript/Type Script is a plus.
- 5–7 years of experience in Data Analyst or Analytics Engineer roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or another quantitative/STEM field or equivalent experience.
- Infrequent travel (10%).
- Ability to occasionally work overtime or after hours.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
USD 106,000 – 134,000 per year.
Compensation & BenefitsThe compensation for this position will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive and bonus opportunities.
