Controller-Level Operations & Finance Leader (Construction)
A growing construction company is seeking a hands-on financial and operational leader to support ownership in a high-impact role. This is not a typical accountant position focused on AP or basic job costing - that support already exists. We are looking for someone who understands construction financials at a strategic level and can lead forecasting, budgeting, banking relationships, and overall financial accountability.

- Assist with property acquisition analysis and financial planning
- Oversee the internal accountant and financial workflows
- Partner with sales, vendors, and trade partners to ensure financial alignment
- Monitor cash flow, projections, and overall financial health
- Improve systems, clean up GL reporting, and strengthen processes during slower cycles
- Provide financial insight to support ownership decision-making
- 3+ years of construction-related financial experience
- Strong forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow knowledge
- Comfortable communicating with banks and outside financial partners
- Leadership ability with experience overseeing accounting functions
- Construction background needed
- Proactive, growth-minded, and solutions-oriented
- Takes initiative and thrives in a dynamic environment
- Software experience helpful, but trainable
- Direct exposure to ownership
- Clear path toward a true controller-level position
- High visibility and influence within the company
- Degree not required - experience and capability matter most
This is a strong opportunity for a driven construction finance professional ready to step into a strategic leadership role.
