Revenue Management Business Analyst (Mid-Level) Position Overview
The Revenue Management Business Analyst plays a key role in analyzing, documenting, and improving business processes and system requirements related to revenue and customer operations. This role collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, support system enhancements, and ensure operational efficiency across customer care and billing systems. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with functional knowledge of utility customer operations and Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B).
Key Responsibilities- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across departments.
- Analyze current business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain business process documentation and process models.
- Create functional and technical specifications for system enhancements or new systems.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather requirements and provide project updates.
- Identify, document, and track project risks and issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize requirements and define project scope.
- Support the development, implementation, and testing of new systems or system enhancements.
- Provide training and support to users during and after system implementation.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of software solutions and system upgrades.
- Assist with delegating or assigning tasks to team members based on functional areas.
- Provide analytical and operational support to the department through reporting and data analysis.
- Experience with Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B).
- Functional background in utility customer operations and customer service.
- Experience with Credit & Collections processes.
- Ability to create, run, and analyze SQL queries.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
- Above-average project management and analytical capabilities.
- Experience supporting operational reporting and business analysis initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of relevant business analysis experience.
