Business Development Manager – Facilities Management

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager
to drive growth in our Facilities Management (FM) services business. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and delivering tailored FM solutions that meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the FM sector.
- Build and maintain relationships with retailers, property owners, facility managers, and commercial clients.
- Conduct client meetings to understand requirements and propose customized FM solutions.
- Manage the full sales cycle—from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
- Collaborate with operations and technical teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and provide regular sales forecasts and reports.
- Networking and building relationships within the FM sector.
- Supporting & participating in sales workflow and process for Jr. Sales associates.
- Conduct on site walk throughs and client meetings.
- Maintaining weekly sales reports outlining the following to give insight into results and prospects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Facilities Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business development or sales within FM or related industries.
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong written and oral skills.
- Strong Organizational skills and follow up procedures.
- Familiarity with FM services and operational processes.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, MS Dynamics, Zoom Info) and MS Office.
Preferred
Skills:
- Industry certifications (e.g., IFMA credentials) are a plus.
- Ability to craft and execute strategic business development plans.
- Comfortable with travel and attending industry events.
- Ability to support pricing and negotiating proposed services.
