Senior Asset Accountant

A rapidly expanding organization is looking for a Senior Accountant to take ownership of fixed asset and lease accounting. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical accounting, digging into data, partnering with operations, and improving processes in a dynamic environment.

• Oversee all fixed asset and lease accounting activity
• Track capital projects and ensure proper capitalization and depreciation
• Maintain ROU asset and lease liability schedules, including modifications and disclosures
• Perform monthly close tasks: journal entries, reconciliations, and roll forwards
• Review contracts and determine the appropriate accounting treatment
• Maintain accurate subledger data for assets and leases
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to validate operational and project information
• Prepare audit‑ready documentation for internal and external auditors
• Assist in enhancing accounting policies, controls, and procedures

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance (CPA is a plus but not required)
• 4+ years of experience with fixed assets, leases, capex, or technical accounting
• Strong understanding of GAAP, including capitalization rules and relevant standards
• Background in month‑end close and reconciliations
• Experience reviewing agreements for capex vs. expense decisions
• ERP experience required;
  Oracle Fusion or similar large systems preferred
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑changing, private‑equity‑backed environment
