Job SummaryWe are seeking an Overnight Retail Assistant Manager to oversee Drive Through Service to support our General Manager in leading a dynamic team within the cannabis industry. This is a dedicated overnight position responsible exclusively for overseeing Drive Through operations during late‑night and early‑morning hours.
This role is crucial in fostering a culture centered on employee development, exceptional customer service, and operational excellence during overnight drive‑through operations. As the Overnight Retail Assistant Manager, you will drive sales through comprehensive product education, maintain industry knowledge, and ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements specific to drive‑through transactions.
You will play a pivotal role in team building by supervising and supporting overnight drive‑through staff, aligning with our mission and vision, and coaching team members to enhance their skills. Responsibilities include overseeing nightly drive‑through operations, managing and reconciling inventory allocated to drive‑through service, maintaining and auditing the POS system, ensuring transaction accuracy, enforcing security protocols, and delivering a smooth, efficient, and secure customer experience at the drive‑through window.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, attention to detail, the ability to work independently during overnight shifts, and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of retail operations in a fast‑paced drive‑through environment.
- Support the General Manager in leading and creating a culture that prioritizes employee development and customer service
- Drive sales through product education and maintaining Cannabis industry knowledge
- Build teams in accordance with our mission, vision, and goals
- Develop and coach Terrabis Leads to help elevate their skills and expertise
- Establish a culture of accountability through setting clear expectations and performance management
- Support the General Manager in developing team schedules and assisting with dispensary staffing
- Responsible for monitoring and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring an assortment of product, and communicating inventory action items with the General Manager
- Work with General Manager to ensure retail store operations run smoothly, properly, and in compliance with the applicable rules and regulations, including daily activities, maintenance, and employee concerns
- Complete and appropriately delegate (if applicable) tasks assigned during scheduled shift, including: cleaning of the store, bathrooms, patient areas, and break room
- Correct cash handling and discount application when applicable
- Verification of proper paperwork, documentation, and patients
- Accurate use and maintenance of the Point of Sale (POS) system
- Ensure POS stations are ready to go at store opening
- Ensure opening and closing checklists are completed in a timely manner
- Assist General Manager in maintaining healthy inventory management processes, including deliveries, cycle counts, and verifying order accuracies
- Assist with investigating product discrepancies and maintaining a culture of compliance
- Other duties as assigned by the General Manager
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Cannabis experience preferred
- 2+ years in a supervisory or management role in a retail setting required, preference for specialty retail
- Inventory control experience required
- Must be proactive, with strong work ethic, attention to detail, and strong communication and leadership skills
- Meet timelines consistently and be able to effectively work under pressure
- Continuously open to constructive, developmental feedback
- High level of interpersonal skills in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment, often working cross functionally
