Title Maintenance Summer Intern - O'Fallon, MO

Overview

The Maintenance Internwillassistmachine  technicians in servicing andmaintainingallproductionmachinery. Learning essential aspects ofthe trade through the mentorship of seasoned technicians.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Help to diagnose and repair automated CNC, PLC and industrial PC controlled machinery and equipment, including robots, welders and a variety of sheet metal, copper tube, wireshelfand glass fabrication equipment.
• Perform necessary preventative maintenance tasks as required.
• Submit service reportsin a timely mannerutilizingmaintenance management software.
• Communicate withmachinerymanufacturer’s service department via email or phone in resolving issues whenever necessary.
• Place replacement part orders for machinery repairs as required.
• Helpmaintainspare part inventory accuracy.
• Effectively communicate with appropriate partiesregardingmachinery repair status.
• Communicatefrequentlywith Maintenance Leadership on the status of repairs,PM’sand projects.
• May work on specialized automation and integration projects. (New process equipment and special machines)

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Completed at least 1yr of a training in an Automationor
  
  Electrical Technology degree or certification program at an accredited trade school.
• Basic knowledge and use of basic hand toolsis preferred.
• Customer service driven and focused.
• Must havebasicmechanical and electrical skills.
• Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Mustbeable to work with confidential and sensitive information.
• Competent in Microsoft Outlook.
• Must be upbeat,reliable,detail-orientated and a team playerand enjoy a fast-paced work environment.
• Can represent themselves, the department and the company in a professional mannerat all times.

The hours for this position are 5:40 am - 4:10 pm Monday through Thursday.
