Facility Assistant Cultivation Manager

C3 Industries is a multi-state, vertically integrated cannabis company headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with multiple product brands including the award-winning Cloud Cover Cannabis, Galactic Cannabis, Habitat Cannabis, and a retail network, High Profile Cannabis Shop. The company retails high-quality cannabis products at its High Profile locations in Connecticut, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Massachusetts, and New Jersey.

The Assistant Cultivation Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the company production facility with the guidance of the Cultivation Manager and Director of Operations.

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Supervise assigned team of cultivation technicians in all aspects of production, through harvest.
• Responsible for the health, nutrition management, integrated pest management, and maintenance of veg and flowering plants.
• Supervise and conduct plant maintenance in all aspects of the growth cycle including:
• Vegetative
• Flowering
• Harvest
• Take instruction and assist with tasks delegated by the management team.
• Responsible for monitoring internal environmental control systems, R/O units, nutrition schedule and feeding pumps, security systems.
• Monitor environmental data and report to the Cultivation Manager each day.
• Immediately addresses issues with plants, equipment, or environments and reports the status to the Cultivation Manager.
• Motivate cultivation staff to meet set performance targets and ensure proper training and development of employees.
• Provide effective performance management by providing feedback, counsel, or discipline to employees with the support of the Cultivation Manager & HR department.
• Maintain high employee morale and positive relationships and coach team members to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the company values, policies, and other standards of conduct.
• Maintain accurate inventory of all necessary tools and supplies and coordinate with the Cultivation Manager to ensure proper ordering and delivery;
  Maintain an organized and clean working environment.
• Collaborate with the Cultivation Manager to develop and implement SOPs for cultivation.
• Regularly participate in compliance audits and ensure accurate cultivation room reporting into METRC with the Compliance team and any individual responsible for compliance on the cultivation team.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures and ensure all quality standards are adhered to.
• Maintain compliance with state regulations and enforce company policies and SOPs.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the assigned room and participates and completes cleaning duties along with the technician team.
• Responsible for the closing and security of the facility.
• Regularly calibrate meters and delegate daily checks to the appropriate team member.

Directly supervises veg and bloom cultivation teams.

• 2+ years’ experience as a cultivator in a large-scale cannabis operation.
• Knowledge of plant strains, plant structure, and plant health required.
• High school diploma required, BS in horticulture or other relevant field preferred.
• Experience directing teams of employees required.
• Knowledge of CRA regulations preferred.
• Ability to use and manage METRC; experience using METRC preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and accurately.
• Must be willing to work holidays or unscheduled days when necessary.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to obtain & maintain required state licenses based on work location.

• Employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk or hear; the employee is regularly required to use hands or fingers to, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms.
• Employee is occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds; the employee is frequently required to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Employee is occasionally required to work near moving mechanical parts; the employee is frequently required to work in wet or humid conditions (non-weather).
• Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours at a time.
• Employee is required to shower (completely wetting down hair & body) whenever they are entering the cultivation area from the outdoors.
• Employee is required to wear company provided or approved scrubs that will remain in the facility.
• Employee is required to provide a new pair of shoes and socks that will remain in the facility.
