Metrology Lab Technician

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Responsibilities & Duties

* Perform routine laboratory mass measurements

* Analyze measurement data to ensure accuracy and consistency

* Ensure compliance with industry and basic metrology standards and quality management system requirements

* Document and report measurement and calibration results

* Perform Maintenance and performance qualifications on testing equipment

* When necessary and/or needed, adjustments on any out of tolerance weights

* Ensuring the traceability and validity of mass measurements

* Segregating and Identifying any out of tolerance or suspect weights

What You Need to Succeed

Qualifications & Skills

* Experience or basic understanding with calibration and measurement systems

* Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO/IEC 17025 and basic metrology

* Understanding or experience of Excel

* Understanding or experience with equipment databases

* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy

* Prior experience in a laboratory or quality environment

* Knowledge of quality management systems

* Basic understanding of a calibration report

* Understanding of regulatory requirements
