Regional Medicaid Sales Specialist

North Jersey
$150-$200K Base + Commission

Summary

A well-established long-term care services organization is seeking a senior, field-based Medicaid leader to oversee in-person family engagement and conversion across New Jersey and the NY/CT region. This role focuses on guiding pre-qualified families through complex Medicaid decisions, driving close rates, and representing the organization with authority, empathy, and professionalism.

The Regional Medicaid Field Director serves as the final point of contact in the decision process, ensuring families clearly understand the value, urgency, and structure of Medicaid planning services while maintaining the highest standards of discretion and trust.

Responsibilities
  • Provide field leadership across a defined regional territory, meeting families in person to finalize Medicaid service engagements
  • Convert warm, pre-qualified leads into signed commitments through clear explanation and confident presentation
  • Explain Medicaid and Medicare concepts related to long-term care, nursing home placement, and eligibility timelines
  • Address objections, concerns, and sensitive family dynamics with professionalism and empathy
  • Represent the organization as a trusted authority in long-term care Medicaid planning
  • Coordinate closely with internal intake and eligibility teams to ensure seamless handoff and execution
  • Travel regularly throughout New Jersey with occasional travel to New York and Connecticut
Requirements
  • Proven success in closing or senior-level sales within long-term care, Medicaid services, or healthcare operations
  • Strong working knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare as they relate to nursing homes and long-term care planning
  • Background in admissions, census management, facility operations, or healthcare sales strongly preferred
  • Exceptional communication and persuasion skills, particularly in high-stakes, in-person conversations
  • Comfortable operating independently in a field-based, high-autonomy role
