Under the direction of the Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Wellbeing, the Manager of Academic Support is responsible for the design and development of comprehensive, evidence-based, academic support programming for medical students. This role will lead a team of Medical Education Learning Specialists providing individual and group academic support to students throughout their curriculum. Use of best practice in a holistic learning strategies approach will include the delivery of Cognitive Skills elective for all courses in the medical education program including clinical skills training.

Education,Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Master's degree in educational or cognitive psychology with specialization in learning and remediation.
- Working knowledge of the sciences: biology, human anatomy and physiology, etc.
- Experience working with adult learners.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Knowledge of computer software programs: MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- Doctoral Degree in Education, Educational Psychology, Higher Education Administration, or another tertiary educational administration field.
- Enrolled in graduate study or completion of Ed.D. or Ph.D.
- Experience in medical education and administration.
- Experience in undergraduate and/or graduate medical or graduate health professions education.
- Experience in administration of an academic support or tutoring program in an institution of higher education.
- Experience working with college students in one or more of the following areas: academic advising, curriculum planning, and college teaching.
- An understanding of, ability to demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socio-economic, ethnic, cultural, ability, military, religious, sexual orientation and gender identity backgrounds of medical students, faculty and staff.
