CNC Setter​/Operator

We are currently recruiting a Material Controller to join the Planning and Logistics Department of a well‑established precision machining company based in Coventry. This is a temporary‑to‑permanent opportunity, with an immediate start available for the right candidate.

Monday to Thursday:
Standard hours: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm. Flexible start times available: 6:00 am, 6:30 am or 7:00 am.
Friday:
Standard hours: 7:30 am – 12:30 pm. Flexible start times available: 6:00 am, 6:30 am or 7:00 am.

£14.00 per hour

• Ensuring the Goods In, Stores and Despatch areas operate efficiently to support the manufacturing process
• Operating mechanical handling equipment, including a counterbalance forklift truck, and an automatic billet saw
• Liaising with internal departments, suppliers, and customers to coordinate deliveries
• Managing despatch activities with the Planning Manager, ensuring goods are packed correctly and company standards are maintained
• Providing material availability information to support new sales orders
• Purchasing non‑production materials and acting as the main point of contact with suppliers
• Maintaining positive working relationships to support effective teamwork

• 3‑4 years’ experience in material handling and coordination within a manufacturing environment
• Previous stores experience, ideally including quality control
• Experience with goods in, including booking in deliveries
• Some experience purchasing direct and indirect materials
• Ability to use measuring equipment, including verniers and micrometres
• PC literate, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
