Role OverviewWe are seeking an IPC Trainer to join our client on a permanent basis. The role involves delivering IPC and electronics manufacturing training courses at customer sites across the UK, as well as at the company's dedicated technical training centre. The ideal candidate will be based in the West Midlands and come from a high‑reliability / high‑performance electronics background. This role requires extensive UK travel.
Applicants with significant industry experience but limited or no formal training experience will also be considered, as full support and development will be provided.
- Deliver IPC-certified and electronics manufacturing training courses
- Conduct training at customer locations and at the internal training centre
- Ensure training is engaging, accurate, and aligned with IPC standards
- Support clients in understanding best practice within electronics manufacturing
- Represent the company professionally while working independently on client sites
- Strong background in soldering and electronics manufacturing operations
- Good working knowledge of IPC standards and certifications
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Willingness to travel extensively across the UK
- Previous training, mentoring, or coaching experience
- Experience in aerospace, defence, or motor sport industries
- Background in high‑reliability electronics environments
