SEND Teaching Assistant

SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary School, Nuneaton

We are looking for a caring and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our friendly primary school team. This role involves supporting children with Autism and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), helping them achieve their full potential in both learning and personal development.

Main Responsibilities:

Provide support to pupils with Autism and PMLD, both in the classroom and through one-to-one activities.

Assist in planning and delivering personalised learning experiences.

Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction.

Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to meet individual pupil needs.

Help monitor and record pupils' progress.

Skills and Experience

Required:

Previous experience supporting children with SEND, especially Autism and PMLD.

Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping children succeed.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Flexibility to adapt resources and teaching approaches for individual needs.
