SEN Teaching Assistant - Supporting Students with Complex Needs

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in Nuneaton. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one‑to‑one or small group support to students with complex needs, including physical, emotional, and learning disabilities.
  • Assist with the delivery of personalized learning plans and adaptations to meet individual needs.
  • Support students with daily routines and personal care where required, fostering independence and confidence.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe and encouraged to succeed.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to monitor progress and provide tailored support.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of intervention programs to enhance learning outcomes.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, particularly complex needs.
  • A strong understanding of child development and SEN strategies.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support children in their learning journey.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A flexible, proactive approach to challenges.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, Team‑Teach training) would be an advantage but are not essential.
