Social Worker - Children in Care Team

About the Team

This role will be based within Warwickshire’s Children in Care Permanence Team who are predominantly based in Bedworth but offer a Countywide service to all Children in Care who have a plan of permanency across Warwickshire and those who may be placed further away from home. We offer a service to Children in Care of all ages (up to 18yrs) who have a plan of permanence in various settings including foster care, residential provision, supported accommodation, supported lodgings, and those placed with connected family members. We also work closely with families to support children and young people to return to their families where safe to do so as circumstances change.

Our focus is on ensuring all children and young people are well supported to maximise their life chances; where they can thrive in our care, are safe from harm or abuse, have access to the best education and training, and feel prepared for adulthood. We work to ensure that our children's voices are heard and that our team builds positive relationships with the young people we support.

Warwickshire is embedding our Families First teams to support the young people in our County, with locality working, multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams that support the whole family. We build strong partnerships with local services, Health, Police and Education.

We are recruiting for the role of Social Worker in our Children In Care Permanence Team covering a Countywide service across Warwickshire and those who may be placed further away from home. We are seeking a full-time worker on a permanent basis.

• We are seeking a Social Worker who has a passion to work with children and young people.
• Your focus will be on ensuring all children and young people are well supported to maximise their life chances; where they can thrive in our care, are safe from any harm or abuse, have access to the best education and training, and feel prepared for adulthood.
• We are seeking someone who will advocate to ensure our children's voices are heard.
• We are seeking someone who is passionate about building positive relationships with the young people that we support.
• We are seeking someone who is organised, performance driven, confident in their knowledge of legislation and processes, and able to bring their children to life when representing them both verbally in meetings and in writing.

This role is Countywide, so there will be some travelling within Warwickshire and beyond to children and young people placed further afield. The role is primarily office-based with agile working and some evening work depending on family needs. Applicants will need a professional Social Work qualification and Social Work England Registration.

Salary range: £36,363.00 - £48,226.00 per annum depending on level of role.
