Part Time Supervising Social Worker

Salary: Up to £34,507 FTE £43,134.00

Benefits: £3,000 Car Allowance, 30 days' Annual Leave (increasing to 35 days with length of service) + Bank Holidays, Company Pension, Life Assurance x2, Employee Discount Scheme & Medical Cash Plan (all benefits pro‑rated)

Location: Midlands and South Yorkshire caseload, no more than 1 hour drive; flexibility required sometimes.

Requirements

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker committed to fostering.

  • Hold a Social Care England recognised qualification in Social Work or equivalent
  • Previous experience of child and family social work
  • Comprehensive knowledge of legislation related to children’s services
  • Good IT skills
  • Full UK driving licence and reliable transport; flexible travel
Responsibilities
  • Direct support of foster parents within a realistic caseload for high-level supervision
  • Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents, monitoring practice and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
  • Work in partnership with children, young people, foster parents and professionals to enable full participation in safeguarding, assessment, planning and decision making
