Audio Engineer- Audio HAL Android Automotive

Audio Engineer (5 – 10 years’ experience required)

Location: Novi, MI

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Audio HAL for Android Automotive.
• Develop C/C++ code to interface with radio hardware.
• Implement audio data streaming between HAL and Android framework.
• Collaborate with engineers on Android Automotive audio stack.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of the HAL functionality.
• Analyze and interpret radio diagnostic data.
• Stay current with advancements in Android Automotive audio hardware.
• Contribute to documentation and maintenance of HAL code.

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience developing embedded software
• Strong knowledge of C and C++
• Experience with embedded operating systems, such as Linux/QNX/FreeRTOS
• Experience with hardware abstraction layers (HALs)
• Experience with audio processing and codecs
• Experience with audio DSPs
• Responsible for Audio and related Feature (DAB, FM, USB, CD-DVD etc)
• Experience with peripheral buses, such as I2C and I2S
• Strong Linux/Android internals and kernel fundamentals
• Experience with audio systems (ALSA, audio framework, audio drivers)
• Preferred if having experience with audio BSP for embedded systems that use Qualcomm chipsets and Qualcomm Audio Framework (Audio Reach/Elite)

Compensation: $90,000.00 - $ per year
