Security Installation Technician II

About The Role

The Install Technician, part of the Technical Services division, will play a crucial role in executing technical installations across Southeast Michigan. This is a client‑facing role that requires not only technical expertise but also excellent customer service skills to ensure high‑quality support and instruction to clients.

• Install commercial alarm, CCTV, and Card Access systems.
• Provide reliable, high quality customer support.
• Perform customer instruction on system operation and functionality.
• Conduct system testing and signal verification.
• Carry out new system installations, upgrades, and additions.
• Organize and utilize technical resources, information, material, and support for efficient task execution.
• Monitor and ensure the progress and completion of assigned tasks.
• Complete and submit all required task‑related documentation in a timely manner.
• Maintain a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

• Minimum of High School Diploma/Vocational Training.
• 3 or more years of experience in the field.
• Experience with programming security systems independently is required.
• Mastery knowledge of commercial intrusion systems, CCTV, intercom, fire and access control systems.
• Minimum NICET II is required but preferably state fire alarm certified.
• Working knowledge to full understanding of local/national codes.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to clear a drug and background screening.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, policies, and procedures in English.

M-F, 8am-5pm

$30 per hour.
