As a Security Officer - Research Facility in Novi, MI
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aero and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce incidents, support access control and/or badge checks, and report security-related observations with clear communication. You will use professionalism, teamwork, and integrity to assist employees and visitors, while working for a company that is agile, reliable, innovative, and people first.

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an aero and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Control access through designated entry points by checking identification and/or credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing individuals to authorized areas.
• Monitor site conditions and security-related systems such as cameras and alarms, reporting maintenance issues, hazards, and/or unusual activity through established communication channels.

• Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent.
• Be 21 or more years of age.
• Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
