We are seeking a well-connected General Manager of Sales & Marketing with strong OEM (Big
3) automotive experience to lead new business development and sales strategy for automated functional safety and locking mechanisms. This is a highly visible leadership role reporting directly to the President and managing a small team of experienced sales professionals.
This position is ideal for a senior sales leader who brings deep OEM relationships, strong commercial acumen, and hands‑on experience with automated door and tailgate function components.
What You’ll Do as Sales & Marketing General Manager:As the General Manager, you will be responsible for driving growth, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding market share across key OEM accounts while providing consistent leadership to a team of account managers.
- Generating new business and expanding existing OEM customer relationships
- Leading sales strategy, pricing negotiations, and contract discussions
- Developing and executing sales plans aligned with company growth objectives
- Managing and mentoring a team of 3–4 sales/account professionals
- Serving as the primary OEM customer interface and executive-level contact
- Preparing and delivering sales presentations and commercial proposals
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and pricing dynamics
- Collaborating cross-functionally to support quoting, project timelines, and launches
- Overseeing monthly sales reporting, forecasting, and budgeting activities
- Ensuring alignment between sales goals, customer requirements, and internal execution
- Proven experience with automated door and tailgate functional parts strongly preferred
- Direct OEM customer interface experience, ideally with the Big 3
- Demonstrated success in price negotiation and new business development
- Strong business acumen with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically
- Knowledge of OEM customer processes and portals
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and project-based tools
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or automotive environment
- Executive-level visibility reporting directly to the President
