Position: Registered Nurse RN MOHS Dermatology FT - Novi & Detroit
Registered Nurse RN - MOHS Surgery Center - Novi Location with some travel to Detroit Cancer Pavilion

Full Time - 40 hours week. 7am - 5:03- pm - 10 hour shifts - no weekends/holidays

Responsibilities Include:

Conduct patient assessments, Perform pre-operative tasks, Administer local anesthetics, cauterize wounds, provide wound care, set up and assist during surgical procedures, offer post-operative care, discharge instructions, triage phone calls, etc.

Candidate Preferences:
Minimum of 1 year RN experience in an Ambulatory/Clinic or Inpatient setting. Prior experience in a busy surgical clinic is a plus. Pre & Post Surgery exp. Experience in surgery or dermatology is preferred,

GENERAL

SUMMARY:

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator when appropriate.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation. Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel. Preferred experience in the specialty.

Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES

REQUIRED:

Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy. Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
