Your Role:
Business Intelligence Analyst

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you’ll be a key partner in transforming data into insights that drive smarter decisions and better member experiences. Working as part of the BI Team, you will support business units across the Credit Union by delivering reports, dashboards, and analyses that inform strategy, improve efficiency, and enhance service. This role blends technical expertise with storytelling — turning complex data into meaningful insights that leaders can act on.

You’ll collaborate closely with business partners to ensure data accuracy, identify opportunities, and proactively recommend solutions that support organizational goals and benefit our members.

What You’ll Do:
  • Turn Data into Insight:
    Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that may impact the Credit Union, and communicate findings with actionable recommendations.
  • Tell the Story:
    Provide clear, compelling data analysis using tools such as Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint to support informed decision‑making at all levels.
  • Build Dashboards:
    Design and develop business intelligence dashboards with strong data visualizations and a focus on user experience and key performance indicators.
  • Support Strategy:
    Create and present standard reports and dashboards that support strategic initiatives and business processes across the organization.
  • Enhance Member

    Experience:

    Analyze how BI and data solutions can improve member service, reduce costs, increase revenue, and improve efficiency.
  • Develop Queries & Models:
    Build complex SQL queries and leverage BI visualization tools to deliver accurate and timely insights.
  • Collaborate Across the Organization:
    Partner with business leaders, BI team members, IT, and database administrators to optimize reporting solutions and performance.
  • Ensure Data Quality:
    Monitor data quality and work with business partners to improve data accuracy, governance, and consistency.
  • Support Data Governance:
    Assist with defining data elements, developing data quality processes, and supporting governance initiatives.
  • Enable Data Literacy:
    Contribute to the development of data training programs and provide documentation and support for complex data questions.
  • Integrate Data Sources:
    Combine data from multiple systems to create seamless, reliable analysis.
  • Troubleshoot & Improve:
    Investigate and resolve day‑to‑day reporting and visualization issues.
  • Perform Other Duties:
    Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as needed.
What We’re Looking For:

Education & Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience and/or education in business analytics
  • One or more years of similar or related experience preferred
Skills & Abilities
  • Discovering and presenting actionable insights
  • Analyzing Credit Union data
  • Reporting tools (Jaspersoft, SSRS)
  • Data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Querying and structuring data
  • SQL and DAX development
  • Ability to improve business processes through data analysis
  • Experience working with business partners and vendors on data specifications and automated solutions
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and logical reasoning skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain data confidently to diverse audiences
  • Strong time and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Self‑motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working independently or collaboratively
