Clinical Athletic Trainer

Role DescriptionThis is a full-time office CLINICAL role for an Athletic Trainer, based in Novi, MI and Brighton, MI. The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for collaborating with physicians and patients to work with the sports medicine division in managing clinical operations. Day-to-day tasks include the following:
- Working directly with a sports medicine physician in seeing patients in a clinic setting. This means doing intake for a patient, history gathering, taking notes, and executing treatment plans
- Prescribing and demonstrating home exercise programs
- Maintain a physician's clinical schedule, including getting add-on patients into the clinic
- Hands-on treatment of patients using ESWT (Electrocorporeal Shockwave Therapy)
- Performing neuropsychological testing on patients in clinic with suspected concussions
- Aiding and assisting in musculoskeletal and orthobiologic treatments (platelet-rich plasma, prolotherapy, perineural hydrodissection, adipose cellular therapies, steroid injections)
- Liaison with our physical therapy, acupuncture, and massage practitioners
- Leadership role in the sports medicine division operations
- Can also consider physical therapy aide work in the therapy realm
- Proficiency in Injury Prevention and strategies for reducing athletic injuries
- Comprehensive knowledge in Athletic Training and Rehabilitation
- Experience or skills in Strength & Conditioning methods
- Competence in designing and implementing Prevention programs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and team members
- Certifications such as BOC (Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers) and state licensure (as required)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or a related field
