Job DetailsGENERAL SUMMARY: Assists with examination and treatment of patients under the supervision of a provider (Physician or Advanced Practice Provider). Responsibilities include assisting with treatments ordered by the provider, performing select clinical duties such as interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, recording information, preparing treatment rooms, and performing clerical duties like answering phones and maintaining records. Also involves materials management, maintaining a clean environment, documenting provider encounters, and transcribing orders.
CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED: BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire, and Medical Assistant certification within 3 months of hire. Accepted certifications include those from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High School diploma or equivalency, or 1 year of relevant experience.
