Better Health Market is a dynamic and growing Natural Food Grocery company that is looking for a talented and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. We are locally owned and operated and are looking for a dedicated professional to help drive our financial success. This position is based out of our headquarters in Novi, MI.

Job Description

As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. You will work closely with the senior management team to provide strategic financial guidance and support for decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, and revenue recognition

- Preparing and presenting financial statements and reports to senior management

- Developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts

- Analyzing financial data and performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement

- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations

- Managing the year-end audit process and liaising with external auditors

- Supervising and mentoring a team of finance professionals

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Advanced proficiency in financial management software (e.g., Quick Books)

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

- Strong leadership and team management abilities
