Payroll Specialist

Star Cutter Company, is a family owned, globally recognized, manufacturer of custom round tools and hobs. We’re looking for a Corporate Payroll Specialist to join our team. Our Corporate Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll for all of our business units and sites. The ideal candidate will be looking for:

• Process multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule while ensuring compliance with tax and labor laws. Including reconciliation of payroll transactions and ensuring proper classification.
• Analyzes current payroll, HRIS and records processes and identifies activities to improve efficiency and effectiveness, submitting recommendations to management.
• Assist in the preparation of a variety of local, state, and federal forms including, but not limited to, tax forms, monthly, quarterly and year end filings, responds to outside agency requests for production. Submits reports to supervisor for review.
• Perform payroll-related functions including but not limited to; processing tax changes, wage garnishments, deductions, and direct deposit
• Complete and process employee requests, unemployment, end of year/W-2 reporting.
• Assist the Accounts Payable team with daily, weekly, monthly, and year end tasks.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
• Three or more years Payroll Processes
• Three or more years ADP Workforce Now Experience
• Advanced skillset in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in manufacturing preferred
