Director - Finance Digital Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking a visionary Finance Digital Leader with deep expertise in Finance data and systems architecture deployment. The Finance Digital Lead will drive HARMAN's Finance Digital transformation and partner with Automotive Finance and Digital organizations. This role will design and help build a scalable Finance Digital Ecosystem, integrating core platforms such as SAP, One Stream, IBP (Integrated Business Planning), Salesforce, analytics applications, and Automation / AI deployments.

This leader will combine financial acumen, technology fluency, and process excellence to deliver a digital backbone enabling real-time insights, efficient processes, and strategic decision-making across the enterprise.

Reporting to the Automotive Division Finance Head, this role is responsible for creating the digitized Finance vision and expanding the digitalization roadmap with Digital. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of finance digital transformation, implementing innovative solutions, leveraging S/4

HANA and One Stream, leading teams to support strategic goals, and driving new ways of working in a digitalized finance function.

• Strategic Leadership
  • Co-create with Digital a scalable digital finance strategy that enhances operational efficiency and drives automation of finance operations, including shared services with SAP S/4
    
    HANA as the backbone. Prepare the finance digital ecosystem for expansion including M&As.
  • Partner with senior leaders of Finance, Digital, and other functions to align and drive digital finance initiatives with organizational priorities.
• Finance Digitalization
  • Ensure seamless data flow across systems and eliminate redundancies. Define the why, what, and how of finance digitalization transformations; evaluate and implement digital solutions that reduce operational complexity, improve efficiency, and shorten time-to-close. Maximize use of the ecosystem’s capabilities.
  • Implement advanced analytics and reporting tools to deliver actionable insights and faster decision-making for finance teams. Support a Business Self-Service setup.
  • Design tools and frameworks for what-if scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, and long-term forecasting across Sales, Engineering, and Supply Chain controlling functions. Partner with FP&A to refine financial models and integrate them into scalable technology solutions.
  • Lead the automation of shared services operations (AP, AR, fixed assets, banking, payroll, reconciliation, close processes) using RPA, intelligent document processing, and workflow tools. Identify and deliver AI use cases, including agents.
• Architectural Leadership & S/4
  
  HANA Expertise
  • Contribute to and partner with Digital on implementing a scalable finance system & data architecture aligned with end-to-end HARMAN Automotive Digital architecture.
  • Serve as the SAP S/4
    
    HANA Finance subject matter expert, ensuring optimal use of its capabilities across finance operations.
  • Leverage S/4
    
    HANA features (Central Finance, embedded analytics, predictive insights) to support decision-making, scenario planning, and efficiency.
  • Support migration of legacy systems to S/4
    
    HANA with minimal disruption.
  • Drive integration of S/4
    
    HANA with Salesforce, Procurement, SIOP, PLM, and Engineering Project Management; ensure seamless data flow and reporting.
  • Collaborate to adopt cloud-based platforms, APIs, and microservices that support automation, analytics, and AI scaling.
  • Promote global standard processes, minimize customization, and document/roll out process blueprints across countries and company codes.
• Execution and Governance
  • Prepare Finance Digital roadmap and lead execution with Digital, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budgets.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of solutions, enabling continuous improvement and adaptability.
  • Act as a Business Integrator to translate business needs into Digital requirements and actions; recommend responses to identified needs.
• Team Leadership and Development
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement for a future-fit digitized Finance organization.
  • Establish goals, performance metrics, and accountability for the Finance Digital team and coordinate with Digital counterparts.
  • Encourage cross-functional collaboration to drive digital enablement.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, with a minor in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (master's preferred).
• 10+ years of experience leading finance technology deployment and driving finance digital transformation, with focus on financial systems architecture and scenario planning.
• Dual-fluency:
  Finance process authority & systems/architecture ownership (ERP FI/CO, EPM, Finance Analytics).
• Deep expertise in SAP S/4
  
  HANA, including FI/CO, FP&A, reporting, financial planning tools, consolidation, and advanced analytics.
