Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Environmental Project Engineer to join our team. This role involves managing and executing projects related to environmental compliance, permitting, and planning. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in environmental engineering and be motivated to deliver high-quality results for our clients.
Location:
Detroit, MI, or surrounding areas
- Develop and prepare air and emissions permit applications, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Create Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans tailored to client requirements.
- Conduct stormwater and pollution prevention planning to minimize environmental impact.
- Manage environmental compliance projects from inception to completion, ensuring deliverables meet client and regulatory expectations.
- Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to address environmental concerns and provide solutions.
- Stay up to date with changes in environmental regulations and integrate them into project planning and execution.
- Licensed Engineer (PE preferred) in the state of Michigan or eligible for licensure.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental engineering, with a focus on compliance and permitting.
- Proven expertise in air and emissions permitting.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing SPCC Plans.
- Strong knowledge of stormwater and pollution prevention planning.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
- Experience with environmental site assessments and remediation.
- Familiarity with additional environmental compliance areas, such as hazardous waste management or industrial hygiene.
- Air permitting, SPCC plans, and remediation system design.
- Competitive salary range of $75,000 - $100,000, depending on experience.
