Technical Sourcing Lead - Product Development

Our client is a global manufacturing organization supporting advanced automotive systems and components. They are seeking an experienced Technical Sourcing Lead - New Product Development to lead technically complex sourcing initiatives and align supplier strategy with product development and program execution.

The Technical Sourcing Lead - New Product Development is responsible for aligning sourcing strategies with product roadmaps and business objectives:

• Act as the voice of procurement in product development initiatives
• Lead early supplier involvement, DFM/A reviews, and tooling readiness
• Own sourcing execution from concept through SOP
• Support program cost tracking, BOM reviews, and post-launch cost reductions
• Conduct global commodity market analysis and supplier benchmarking
• Provide regular updates to leadership on sourcing progress and supplier health
• Up to 20% domestic and international travel
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business (Master’s preferred)
• 7+ years of advanced strategic sourcing experience in automotive or manufacturing
• Proven experience managing global supplier relationships and commodity strategies
• Strong technical background partnering with engineering and product development teams
• Expertise in cost modeling, market analysis, and supplier negotiations
